Almost Salinas
(East Coast Premiere)
USA - 94 minutes
Saturday, July 20 at 9:30 pm
Written and directed by Terry Allen Green. Produced by Wade W. Danielson. Cholame, California is home to a James Dean Memorial, a small diner, a retro-gas station and not much else. The proprietor of both the diner and gas station, Max Harris (John Mahoney of TV’s Frasier) is a long- suffering man whose life is being invaded by a savvy reporter (Linda Emond) and an entire B movie crew. A powerful and touching film about legends, truth, fiction, regret and rebirth, Almost Salinas blurs the line that exists between movie myth and reality. Also starring Lindsay Crouse and Virginia Madsen.
