Winner of the Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary at the 2002 Sundance Film Festival, Daughter from Danang chronicles the story of Heidi Bub and her journey from war torn Vietnam to Pulaski, Tennessee and back to Vietnam. As part of “Operation Babylift,” Heidi was separated from her mother and after more than two decades she embarks on a physical and emotional pilgrimage to reunite with her. Daughter from Danang is a riveting film about cultural differences, longing and the personal legacy of war.
