Don't Let Go
USA - 87 minutes

Written and directed by Max Myers. Produced by Ken Schur and Brad Wilson. In director Max Myers’ feature film debut, the scorching Texas heat serves as a backdrop for a story about two brothers, Johnny Blue and Billy Joe, whose musical taste and looks hearken back to the 1950s. Oozing with talent and hungry to play music, the brothers must first contend with their father (Scott Wilson), a former musician who has become an angry, bitter alcoholic, and a mother (Katharine Ross) desperately trying to hold the family together. What follows is a nostalgic, Rockabilly ride through one family’s struggle to come to terms with the past and salvage a future. Don’t Let Go’s incredible, feel-good soundtrack features original music as well as the music of Ritchie Valens, Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison and Ricky Nelson. Also starring Irma P. Hall, Bo Hopkins, Brad Hawkins, Levi Kreis, James Keane and Mac Curtis.
