A quirky and humorous film about 20 year old Michele (Audrey Tautou from Amelie), venturing through a mélange of religions in an attempt to define herself and experience life to the utmost. She doesn’t want to be like her parents, who are trapped by the routine and boredom of an exhausted marriage. When Michele meets Franco (Edouard Baer), a Jewish veterinarian, she converts to Judaism “because she has to believe in something, if not someone.” Directed by Pascale Bailly. Written by Pascale Bailly and Alain Tasma. Produced by Alain Sarde and Georges Benayoun. Director of Photography, Antoine Roch. In French with subtitles. An Empire Pictures Release.
