Break A Leg

Sunday, July 25 at 9:30 pm

U.S.A. - 97 minutes

Directed by Monika Mitchell

With John Cassini, Rene Rivera, Molly Parker, Jennifer Beals, Kevin Corrigan and Frank Cassini

Max Matteo, a talented actor, can’t seem to catch a break. Despite his skills, Max is always second choice to a producer’s nephew or a more marketable “name.” But where talent can’t beat the system, ambition can. Now with an undercover, wannabe thespian cop on his trail, and a guilty conscience weighing him down, he must come to terms with the unorthodox choices he has made on his relentless road to success. Boasting an impressive ensemble cast, Break A Leg brings us a funny and tragic tale of what can happen when ambition is thwarted. Written by Frank Cassini and John Cassini. Produced by Jeanette Volturno & Trey Wilkins. Cinematographer: Eric J. Goldstein. Courtesy of Panorama Entertainment Corp.

Preceded by the short film
The General

Netherlands - 3 minutes
Directed by Sietske Tjallingii

A biting satire on patriotism and military power in post September 11 America. With the subversive wit of Chaplin’s The Great Dictator, Tjallingii cuts the Superpower down to size. With Eric Staller and his BOOTANK. Courtesy of Holland Film.
