U.S.A. - 120 minutes

Written, edited, produced and directed by Rick McKay

“Rick McKay’s exceptional new documentary Broadway: The Golden Age presents a veritable avalanche of interviews with some of the biggest names in the history of the American theater, preserving for posterity their wise words and disarming anecdotes. In addition, there’s a glittering hope chest of stashed mementos-including magnificent archival footage of Broadway productions from the pre-video era,” writes Scott Foundas in Variety. McKay interviewed more than one hundred stars (and continues to do so). The many Broadway legends appearing in the film include Shirley MacLaine, Carol Burnett, Jeremy Irons, Mimi Hines, Carol Channing, Alec Baldwin, Edie Adams, Martin Landau, Frank Langella, Eli Wallach, Wendy Wasserstein and Patricia Neal. Broadway covers many subjects, including “Coming to Broadway,” “Getting the Job,” “Camaraderie,” “The Actors Studio,” “What Changed and Why?” and much more. Produced by Rick McKay and Albert M. Tapper. Co-produced by Anne L. Bernstein and Jamie deRoy. Cinematographer: Rick McKay.
