Her Majesty, a family-friendly movie filmed in New Zealand and set in 1953, is the coming-of-age story of a young girl who realizes her lifelong dream when Queen Elizabeth plans a visit to her small hometown. Elizabeth Wakefield is a 13-year-old New Zealand girl who lives in the quaint and somewhat quirky town of Middleton. With her idol Queen Elizabeth scheduled to make a visit, everyone in town, including her father, is jockeying to curry favor with the royal entourage. Young Elizabeth’s true character is tested when she must choose between meeting the Queen and her loyalty to an old Maori woman with whom she has developed an unlikely friendship. A touching, gentle film that will inspire. Produced by Warren Coblenz. Cinematographer: Stephen M. Katz. Courtesy of Panorama Entertainment Corp.
