Sunday On The Rocks

Monday, July 26 at 7 pm
East Coast Premiere - U.S.A. - 75 minutes

Directed by Joe Morton
With Cady Huffman, Suzzanne Douglas, Julie White and Amiee Turner

Elly is an unhappy ad copywriter living in a cheap rental with three other women. When she begins this particular Sunday morning by drinking scotch, two other roommates, Gayle, a social worker, and Jen, a paralegal, soon join her binge, and together they dish their fourth roommate, Jessica, a devout Catholic who is annoyingly judgmental. (When Gayle tries to defend Jessica as just being different, Elly replies, "Yeah, she's a bitch and we're not.") What starts out as a lark soon descends into a funny, rude and sometimes sad take on the way these women live their lives. This story of four women is lively, gritty and entertaining. Written by Theresa Rebeck, based on her play. Produced by Cady Huffman and Amiee Turner. Cinematographer: Henry Adebonojo.
