The Dying Gaul joins a long list of dark, incisive movies about screenwriters in Hollywood and is a fierce psychological thriller
based on Lucas' play of the same name. With a brilliant cast, it
explores the dangerous dynamics that can come into play in a
world where ideals are sacrificed in the name of commerce and
where the lure of sex, power, money, and glamour are almost irresistible.
Peter Sarsgaard plays Robert, a grieving homosexual playwright;
Campbell Scott plays Jeffrey, a successful studio executive;
Patricia Clarkson plays a former screenwriter and Jeffrey's wife.
Sexually explicit content. Produced by David Newman, Campbell
Scott, George Van Buskirk and Lisa Zimble. Executive Producers:
Joseph Caruso III, Shawn Fitzgerald, David Newman, Paul Cohen,
Paul Manafort, Jerome Swartz, Muvi Films, Inc. Co-producer:
Kimberly Reiss. Cinematographer: Bobby Bukowski.
