"Tell me what's happening in the world of wine and I'll tell you what's happening in the world, period."

Filmmaker Jonathan Nossiter

Through the personal, often moving stories of several families on three continents, Mondovino vividly illustrates the global assault on traditional wine production by multinational corporations. Enjoy a spirited documentary about heroic independent wine makers who wage the good fight against the money and power of globalized wine producers headquartered in the United States. Produced by Jonathan Nossiter and Emmanuel Giraud. Cinematographer: Jonathan Nossiter.

The screening will be followed immediately by a panel discussion in the theatre: "Critics, Artisans and Agribusiness: Who Really Makes Wine Today?" The discussion is free to all Mondovino ticket holders and Passholders.

Wine Tasting in the Charles B. Wang Center, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

A tasting featuring both "artisinal" and "global" wines to follow the panel discussion will be held in the Wang Center, hosted by the Stony Brook University Center for Wine, Food, and Culture. Please call Ginny Clancy at (631) 632-9404 to purchase tickets for the tasting. Ticket supplies are limited.
