A refreshingly honest portrayal of budding teen sexuality centered around Jake, a 15-year-old boy who arrives in a small Montana town searching for his mother. This beautifully-filmed drama explores the boundaries of friendship and relationships, as well as Jake’s compulsions.

Steal Me was shot entirely on location in Livingston, Montana, much of it on a fifth generation cattle ranch. The film is Melissa Painter’s third feature film. Her first feature film, Wildflowers, was chosen for Opening Night at the Stony Brook Film Festival in 2000. Produced by Lisa Larrivee. Lee Caplin and Carl Colpaert. Cinematographer: Paul Ryan.
