On New Year’s Day, as a storm rages in Montréal, an eclectically diverse group of friends and family gather in a funeral home to pay their respects to Jos, the family patriarch, dead in his 70s. Over the course of the day, as reminiscences from the funny to the tragic to the absurd are shared by the mourners, Jeanne learns surprising secrets about her parents’ past. A quirky and charming French Canadian dark comedy by Côté in her third visit to the Stony Brook Film Festival. Produced by Maxime Rémillard and André Rouleau. Director of Photography: Pierre Mignot. Courtesy of Seville Pictures.

All are invited to stay after the screening for a reception in the lobby and on the Staller Center Terrace.
