The Sensation of Sight

Sunday, July 22, 9:00 pm
N.Y. Premiere—U.S.A.—134 minutes
Written and Directed by Aaron J. Wiederspahn.
With David Strathairn, Ian Somerhalder, Daniel Gillies, Jane Adams, Ann Cusack, Elizabeth Waterston, Joe Mazzello, Scott Wilson

A fusion of dream and reality, this off-beat drama is about a man’s search for meaning amid the ache of despair. It chronicles Finn, a middle-aged English teacher (David Strathairn), as he enters a mid-life crisis impelled by a recent tragedy for which he counts himself responsible. As he sets afoot selling encyclopedias to the town locals, Finn’s anxieties begin to consume him as he finds himself pursued by an unrelenting ghost. The Sensation of Sight intertwines lives of loneliness and disconnection, fatefully leading Finn toward an unexpected and sublime awakening. Produced by Darren Moorman, Buzz McLaughlin, Aaron J. Wiederspahn, David Strathairn, Madeline Ryan and Mark Constance. Director of Photography: Christophe Lanzenberg.
