Dear Film Lovers,

Stony Brook University will brim with people ready to enjoy movies, ask questions of filmmakers, and talk about them with friends as well as absolute strangers. It’s all part of the Festival atmosphere that brings back many of you year after year.

We invite both returnees and newcomers to explore the diverse program of features and short films chosen to represent the best of independent cinema.

Enjoy ten days of independent film in our 1000-seat Main Stage Theatre.  Buy an inexpensive pass for only $65 and see every film. Mingle with filmmakers at the passholder-only exclusive Wine & Cheese Reception on Saturday, July 19th. Purchase an Opening Night Party ticket and help us kick off this year’s festival with champagne and desserts in the University Art Gallery. A ticket for the Closing Night Awards Reception puts you on Staller’s Main Stage with the winning filmmakers who are determined by the votes you cast throughout the festival.
