LIFE IS A BANQUET:

THE ROSALIND RUSSELL STORY

World Premiere—U.S.A.—60 minutes

A documentary written and directed by Jonathan Gruber.

Stage and screen legend Rosalind Russell had it all. The star of Auntie Mame, His Girl Friday, Gypsy, and scores of other memorable films and Broadway productions, she was a unique and pioneering talent. Whether getting laughs for her sophisticated comedies, or lauded for her dignity under duress, the talent and humanity of Rosalind Russell left a legacy that is larger than any screen in Hollywood. She is the voice of this documentary, as Russell’s words are taken directly from her autobiography, with narration by acclaimed actress Kathleen Turner. Produced by Jonathan Gruber.

Accompanying short film:

Lovesick (Liebeskrank)

Germany/Slovenia—9 minutes

Written and directed by Spela Cadez.

Pain from heartache, tears that never dry, and heads turned backwards are symptoms of a common, but hard to treat disease, fortunately not incurable. An animated short.
