The
Little Traitor takes place in Palestine in 1947, just a few months
before Israel becomes a state. Proffy
is a militant yet sensitive eleven year old who, like so many others, wants
the occupying British to leave. A British soldier, Sergeant Dunlop (Alfred
Molina), finds Proffy out after curfew and an impossible friendship
develops. As the story unfolds, Proffy learns about himself, his friends,
and his family, and that it is possible to have genuine affection for the
enemy. A charming film with elements of history, hope and humanity.
Produced by Eitan Evan and Lynn Roth. Director of Photography: Amnon Zalait.
A Regent Releasing Film.
