(Kom niet aan mijn kinderen)

U.S. Premiere—Netherlands

Directed by Ron Termaat. Written by Marian Batavier and Nicolette Steggerda.

With Karina Smulders and Cahit Olmez. Produced by Paul Ruven. From Talent United Film and Eye Film.

Don’t Touch My Children is a riveting drama starring Karina Smulders, the actress who festival goers saw in last year’s Stony Brook Opening Night film Bride Flight.  When her children are abducted to Syria by her ex-husband, and taken to his family home, their mother does everything possible to get them back.  Karina Smulders' outstanding performance was recognized at this year's festival.

Jury Award Best Feature

ROADIE

U.S.A.

Directed by Michael Cuesta. Written by Gerald Cuesta and Michael Cuesta. With Ron Eldard, Lois Smith, Jill Hennessy and Bobby Cannavale. Produced by Mike Downey and Sirad Balducci. From Hero Content.

Roadie stars Ron Eldard as the rock band roadie who heads home to Long Island when he’s fired by the Blue Oyster Cult, the band he’s been with for years. His portrayal of a guy with a classic rock, working class pedigree was utterly convincing. The cast also includes Jill Hennessy and Bobby Cannavale, a Tony-Award nominee this Broadway season.
