Stony Brook Film Festival

Can you believe this is our 20th Anniversary season! Time really does fly by when you’re having fun and bringing the world's best independent films to Long Island. Screened in the region's largest and most exciting venue, Staller Center's Main Stage Theatre, you’ll be entertained, enlightened and even challenged over ten days, July 16-25. In addition to some of the newest and best American Independent premiere features and short films, we will take you to Germany, The Netherlands, Israel, Mexico, Greece, Egypt, France, Canada, Iran, Belgium, England, Morocco and Algeria. Exciting dramas, comedies and documentaries will be shown on our huge screen and many of the directors, cast and crew will attend for Q&A's following the films. Please join us and our new presenting sponsor, Island Federal Credit Union, headed by President/CEO Bret Sears, as well as all of our sponsors as we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Stony Brook Film Festival.

A FILM PASS good for all ten days of the festival is still only $85; an outstanding deal with many

benefits. Passholder perks include first-entry passholder lines, guaranteed seating up to 15 minutes prior to screening, and special offers from hospitality sponsors. In addition, we have two ticketed events that add to your enjoyment of the festival; the Opening Night Reception taking place in the Paul W. Zuccaire Gallery on Staller Center’s first floor, where we will be presenting a Vintage Film Poster Exhibition throughout the festival. The Closing Night Awards Ceremony will take place at The Stony Brook Hilton Garden Inn. These receptions, which include food and drink, are only $25 each, so you can see almost 40 feature and short film premieres and go to two special events for $135–a typical cost for an individual ticket to a single film and reception at Sundance!

We are once again offering a limited number of GOLD PASSES. With a Gold Pass, patrons may sit in the Reserved Section of the theatre along with filmmakers and guests and attend Opening and

Closing Night receptions.

INDIVIDUAL FILM TICKETS will go on sale beginning Monday, July 6, subject to availability. Tickets are $10 general admission, $8 for senior citizens and $5 for all students. You can purchase all passes, reception tickets and individual film tickets directly at the Staller Center box office (Monday-Saturday 12 noon-6 pm and one hour before each screening), by phone (631) 632-ARTS or online at When you buy a festival pass online, you will see an option in your “shopping cart” for buying tickets to Opening and Closing Night Receptions and you can add them to your order at that time.

Join us once again or perhaps for the first time (where have you been?) for ten unforgettable evenings of great Independent cinema premieres and mingle with filmmakers, cast and crew from all over the world. Enjoy Long Island's most exciting and anticipated annual summer event and help us celebrate our 20th Anniversary from July 16-25.

See you at the movies!
