STONY BROOK FILM FEST

Opening night at the Stony Brook Film Festival, now in its 13th year, features "Emotional Arithmetic," with Susan Sarandon and Max von Sydow; "Phoebe in Wonderland," starring Elle Fanning, the younger sister of Dakota; "The Cake Eaters," Mary Stuart Masterson's directorial debut (she will be at the festival); "Cat City," a thriller starring Rebecca Pidgeon and Brian Dennehy; and the Irish drama "Kings" with Colm Meaney.
