UPDATE: The Stony Brook Film Festival will be offering a FILMMAKER PANEL on Wednesday, July 24 before the first film. The panel will start at 5:15 pm and it
will feature the Director of Babysplitters, Sam Friedlander; Co-Directors of A Scientist's Guide to Living and Dying, Nitzan Mager and Shachar Langley; and the Director of In God I trust, Maja Zdanowski. Tom Needham will be moderating. Tom Needham is a Radio Host and
creator of the Sounds of Film, which is the nation's longest-running film-themed radio show. For 30 years, the
program has delivered a popular mix of interviews and film music.
THE PANEL IS FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
UPDATE: The Friday night feature, The Parts You Lose will be presented with open captions (subtitles) for the hearing impaired. ABOUT:
Wesley is a 10-year-old who lives on a small farm in North Dakota and goes to school
for the deaf. Bullied at school and suffering a strained relationship with his father,
his one bright spot is his relationship with his mother. When an injured criminal
fugitive (Aaron Paul, Breaking Bad) takes refuge in an abandoned barn on the family farm, Wesley decides to help him
recover, and the two misfits form an unlikely alliance.
